Welcome, fellow curious minds!
This is going to be an introduction to the blog.
Writing is my new-found passion. I have realized that researching wildly different topics and writing about them makes me much happier and excited than my actual job does. After some self-practice and training, I thought, “Why not do this publicly and have even more fun?”.
I am planning to share mostly science stories, but it won’t be limited to just science. I will basically share whatever I have recently heard or read that made me curious and do more research on it.
I expect the science I share here to be wide-ranged. Still, it might occasionally skew to more medical sciences due to my own field of expertise.
As to why I identify myself as a frog and thus name the blog this way, I have one answer and one answer only: Frogs are fucking awesome. Maybe one day I will tell you why exactly I love them so much.
To finish this post, here is an insanely cute froggy for you. This is Toughie. He was the last known member of a species called Ecnomiohyla rabborum, or as the commoners call it, Rabbs’ fringe-limbed treefrog. He lived in a botanical garden for 11 years after his capture. He was a tough boy and not much friendly to his caretaker humans. He produced some tadpoles with a mate, but sadly none of them survived. His mate died before Toughie as well. Toughie passed away in 2016, and the species is thought to be extinct unless someone encounters a new member in the future.
